Proper artwork preparation ensures the best possible result for your custom patches. Here is what you need to know.
Recommended File Formats
Vector files (preferred):
- AI (Adobe Illustrator)
- EPS
Raster files (acceptable for quoting):
- PNG (high resolution)
- JPG (high resolution)
- PSD (Photoshop)
Vector files produce the best results because they can be scaled to any size without quality loss.
Artwork Tips by Patch Type
Embroidered Patches
- Keep text above 5mm for best readability
- Avoid extremely fine lines
- Use solid colors rather than gradients
Woven Patches
- Small text and fine details reproduce well
- Thin lines are achievable
- Best for intricate logo designs
PVC Patches
- Bold designs work best
- Consider 2D vs 3D based on complexity
- PMS color matching available
Chenille Patches
- Large letters and bold graphics recommended
- Simple designs translate best to yarn texture
- Combine with embroidery for fine details
