Getting Your Artwork Production-Ready

Proper artwork preparation ensures the best possible result for your custom patches. Here is what you need to know.

Recommended File Formats

Vector files (preferred):

  • AI (Adobe Illustrator)
  • EPS
  • PDF

Raster files (acceptable for quoting):

  • PNG (high resolution)
  • JPG (high resolution)
  • PSD (Photoshop)

Vector files produce the best results because they can be scaled to any size without quality loss.

Artwork Tips by Patch Type

Embroidered Patches

  • Keep text above 5mm for best readability
  • Avoid extremely fine lines
  • Use solid colors rather than gradients

Woven Patches

  • Small text and fine details reproduce well
  • Thin lines are achievable
  • Best for intricate logo designs

PVC Patches

  • Bold designs work best
  • Consider 2D vs 3D based on complexity
  • PMS color matching available

Chenille Patches

  • Large letters and bold graphics recommended
  • Simple designs translate best to yarn texture
  • Combine with embroidery for fine details
